Volunteering

Volunteering

We are always looking for new people to help our Group in all sorts of roles, be that weekly Section Leaders, helping on our Executive Committee, instructing activities, or even doing the refreshments at our AGM!  You can give as little or as much time as you wish.  Most roles will require an enhanced DBS check (criminal record check, previously CRB) which we will arrange for you free of charge, and training is provided as required.

We can’t promise excellent pay (well, we can’t promise any pay 🙂 ) as we are all volunteers – but we can promise a rewarding and interesting role.

If you think you might be interested, please fill in the form below and we will get back to you as soon as possible.

We can often arrange for Duke of Edinburgh’s Award participants to help out for their service, or for 14-18 year olds to join as a Young Leader, so please do get in touch.

Specific Roles

We are always looking for people in most roles in the Group – but at the moment we could really do with the following:

  • Assistant Group Scout Leader – we need someone to help us with adult recruitment to grow the Group
  • Assistant / Cub Scout Leader – we need more support at Cubs on a Monday night (6:30-8pm)
  • Assistant Scout Leader – Scott (the Scout Leader) needs a couple of extra adults to assist him with running the Troop on a Friday (7:30-9:30pm) plus camps etc if you’re available.
  • With so much going on our hut tends to get a bit grubby…we would love it if someone wanted to volunteer to pop in and give it a quick clean every couple of weeks – again if you’re interested please fill in the form below.

If you’d be interested in this please fill in the form to get in touch!

Thanks!
